Carrie Underwood Inspired Smokey Eye | Tutorial

Hey Everyone! Today I am doing my very first Celebrity Inspired makeup tutorial. I chose to do Carrie Underwood since I LOVE her & her music. She is absolutely amazing! I chose a picture that you can see her makeup well (obv!) and I tried my best to recreate the look using what I had. I think it turned out pretty good, let me know what you all think :) Warning: the black can look like a navy blue in the pictures, its not though, I promise its black :) I hope you all enjoy, if you have any requests of more celebrity inspired looks, let me know in the comments and ill see what I can do!

How to get the Look:

Step One: Apply an eye primer to your eye to prevent creasing and make the color last longer and look more vibrant. I used Guerlain Eye Primer, put this all over your lid, up to your brow bone. Then, apply NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk all over your lid (lid only for this one!). When your done with that, take a white shimmery color, I used Maybelline Eyestudio Quad in Purple Icon and used the first color. Apply that using Sephora's Brush #22 (flat shader brush) on the inner 1/3 of the eye. 

Step Two: Take the Smashbox Trio in Twilight. Using a MAC 242 brush, take the black from the trio and apply on the outer half of your eye. Also apply in your crease and the outer V of your eye.

Step Three: Remember to make it darker towards the end of your eye. Blend the black so it isnt that harsh using a MAC 224 and also LIGHTLY blend the harsh line between the black and white colors. 

Step Four: Next, take the Silver in the Twilight Trio on a blanding brush. I used a drugstore brand brush (Quo Blending Brush) and apply to the middle of the eye, where the black and white meet. Blend all three colors together lightly. 

Step Five: Take the off-white color from the trio on a blending brush and apply it on your brow bone as a highlight color. Blend the black and silver colors on a MAC 266 brush and apply to the outer half on your lower lash line, then mix the off-white and silver on the same brush and apply to the inner half on your lower lash line. 

Step Six: Apply your eyeliner to the waterline, curl your lashes and apply mascara. Make sure for this look both items are in black. 

And thats it for the eyes! :) Now, onto the lips...

Step Seven: Moisturize your lips using any lip balm, I used softlips in Honeydew Melon. Next, apply a nude shade, Revlon Soft Nude. 

Step Eight: Apply a soft pink gloss, such as Revlon Pink Whisperer.
